CIG is looking to build a strong and growing group of operating companies which are led by world-class people.  Our investments have largely focused on businesses in the information services and education industry broadly defined.  Generally, our investments either support an existing business or launch a new platform.

Our primary goal is to expand and grow existing operating companies through strategic acquisitions.  We will look at businesses of any size, location, and technology make-up that can leverage our existing platforms. We have a long history of growing our operating companies through acquisitions, and a proven ability to integrate companies successfully. 

Outside of our core businesses, CIG continues to explore new opportunities.  We are looking for businesses in which we can partner with strong management teams and leverage CIG’s strategic and financial resources.  Generally, our team has experience in management buyouts, turnaround situations and venture oriented investments.  We look for situations in which we can apply our team’s expertise and the companies’ resources to help businesses grow.
